DEEP DREAMED TALES

The ‘Deep Dreamed Tales’ series investigates the current state of Natural Language Processing algorithms, charting the frontier where human creativity and artificial intelligence converge. It’s a deep dive into the phenomena that emerge from this unique collaboration, finding beauty in the raw and the bizarre. Furthering this exploration, Bohdan has published a digital art book that narrates the story of this research project, raising questions about the interaction between humans and artificial intelligence, and the possible future it will bring us.

SLOWED BY THE SUN

‘Slowed by the Sun’ is a series of paintings that invite viewers into a world where time is tangible and memories vivid. Born from a personal experience in an abandoned farm, the project explores the interplay of light and dark, past and present. Each piece captures the sensation of slowed time and hidden solitude. Imbued with nostalgia, it draws on childhood memories of observing the world from a safe distance. It’s an exploration of time, memory, and the human condition, reminding us of the beauty in solitude and the transformative power of light.

DEEP DREAMED TALES

This project continues my experiments with AI. I wondered, what if artificial intelligence and an artist created an illustrated book of poems? And what would be the result of this partnership? I started it in 2021, and it seems to have finished in 2022. This time, the algorithm was the author of the poems, and I was a kind of illustrator of these stories. These poems are placed next to the images and sometimes on the picture itself. The aim was to capture the state of the development of language algorithms at the time of creating these works. And also, I hoped to understand whether artificial intelligence is really just a tool or maybe somewhere in the depths, there is a creative spark attributed only to humans.

LOST IN TIME

The “Lost in Time” project is my attempt to capture the vague state of the world and uncertainty about the future with a visual medium. We live in a time of constant accelerated changes, that make the future more undetermined.

SLOWED BY THE SUN

One day I went to an abandoned farm in the village. There was dark inside and smelled like hay. Through some holes in the roof, the light came inside. I was hidden from the rest of the world in this building. Time became slow and dense. I was feeling the time at my fingertips.
