ABOUT THE SERIES
The Story
This series began with a forgotten video: Ukrainian landscapes passing by a car window.
Years later, after moving away, I found it again. The colors, the light, the rhythm of the road felt like a doorway back to something familiar.
I don’t recreate real places here. I rebuild a feeling of home through color, rhythm, and fragments of memory.
The Process
Each piece begins with video frames that I fragment, loop, and distort digitally.
I print selected fragments, cut them by hand, and transfer them onto canvas layer by layer. Then I paint into the surface with acrylic, adding small pixel-like marks that connect the digital origin with a physical, handmade finish.
Every piece is built by hand, layer by layer, so no two surfaces are ever identical.
Warm pinks, golds, and oranges guide the series, like the last light of a sunset.
I hope these works invite you to slow down and spend a minute inside the texture, the light, and the memory.
If you feel a connection, you can explore the available prints above.
