Working on this piece, I wondered about the intricacies of social interaction under the strict restrictions of quarantine. Human connection is a fundamental aspect of our existence, yet the 2019 pandemic has forced many into physical isolation.
To visually represent these thoughts, I combined 9 separate paintings into a single large artwork. After completion, I divided the composition into separate fragments. Now each fragment can be placed at a different distance, allowing viewers to reflect on the degree of connection in our society. Each piece contains one letter from the word “interaction” in Ukrainian.
The polyptych consists of 9 pieces, each measuring 40×35 cm, for a total of 120×105 cm. It suggests freedom in presentation, either as a single piece or as 9 separate pieces arranged in any combination.
